Pashiyan´s “right hand”,Armenian Security Councel Secretary Armen Grigoryan arrived in Iran in order to meet with Iran´s top securuty official Ali Akbar Ahmadian.According to Iranian news outlets,Ahmadian cautioned that any geopolitical change in the South Caucasus will upset stability and exacerbate crises.It means that Pashinyan´s flirting with the West disturbs Tehran.On the other hand,Iran is Russian´s strategic partner and usually sharing commen interest on Caucasian issues.
During the meeting between two top security officials os Iran and Armenia,Iranian side has expressed the need for collective efforts to ensure calm,security in the South Caucasus.

As I understood,Iran warned armenia that geopolitical Changes detrimental to region.Tehran stress that Pashinyan´s pro-Western government must not underestimate Iran´s regional interests and targets as well.
Tehran´s discommodity on this issue is that the military drills “Eagle Partners”between Armenia and the U.S. pose a threat to Iran´s national security.Because of these military drills,not only Russia,but also Iran felt a disorder.Iranian regime does not want to see NATO member in the South Caucasus either.That is why,Tehran is unable to accept Zengezur Corridor too.

Interestingly,Iranin top security official Ali Akbar Ahmadian proposed Tehran´s readiness to prepare the ground for meetings among Russia,Armenia,Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
In my estimation,Armenia is careful on Iran.Therefore,Armenia comprehends Iran´s reaction on its close relations with the West.Moreover,Armenia´s relations with its CSTO partner Russia are getting worse day by day.Due to this reality,Armenia doesn´t want spoil its connections with Tehran.And in order to safeguard the relations with Iran,Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent his “right hand” to Tehran.
Pashinyan understands that Moscow is going to put pressure on Armenia.Russia has already kicked off its political pressure against Armenia.The next level will be likely economic pressure on Armenia.From this point of view,through Iran,Armenia will overcome Russia´s economic pressures in a near future.
