Turkish leader Erdogan arrives in Azerbaijan at the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart Aliyev.Both leaders are planning face to face meeting.It is expected to discuss regional and international issues including the current situation in Karabakh.
Erdogan´s visit to Nakhchivan has a n important symbol.Turkey guarantees Nakhchivan´s security.I remind of you that the day before yesterday,Iranian president Ebrahim Raesi noted that Karabakh is a part of Azerbaijan,but the security of Karabakh Armenians should be protected.It is clear to Raesi that Karabakh is a part of Azerbaijan according to international law and it was also accepted by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.But the main difference on this issue is that Pashinyan puts the responsibility of Karabakh Armenians on the shoulders of Russian peacekeepers.Pashinyan notes that Russia bears this responsibility and must safeguard their security.
Thus,the latest information regarding with this issue is so that there will not be Azerbaijani police in Khankendi.It does mean that the security in Khankendi and its suburbs will be protected until at least 2025.From this period,Russia will demand mandate for its peacekeepers in Karabakh: in order to obtain this target,Russia will press on Azerbaijan.Instead,Azerbaijan controls some regions in Karabakh.
Therefore,Armenian government is ready to accept 40 thousand ethnic Armenians from Karabakh.But the fact is that more Armenians will abandon Karabakh.But Russia will not allow to these people due to its geopolitical interests.Until the end of this year,Baku´s “reintegration course” in Karabakh should be fulfilled.In this regard,the Azerbaijani passports will be given to Armenians,azeri money(manat) willbe used in the region.
But the main complicated issue is Russia´s peacekeepers:will they abandon Karabakh in 2025 or is there any deadline for their withdrawing?
