The speaker of Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan has stated that the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is recognized by Armenia including Karabakh.According to Simonyan,they have already said this eight times in the last year and two.
In a short,it can be understood that for Pashinyan adminstration does not exist Karabakh issue.It is much more clear that after the liberation of occupied territories,Azerbaijani side has fully restored its sovereignty over past Nagorno Karabakh.
Logically,the Karabakh predicament has been solved and Simonyan´s wording is absolutely understandable.
In this context,there is an open question:if the Karabakh issue is resolved,what happens than?The answer to this question is this that as a next step the peace agreement should be signed between Baku and Yerevan.
But the main contradiction on peace truce between Baku and Yerevan is the place of signing and the mediators.As we understood,Armenia intends to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan with mediator(s).Offisial Yerevan excludes Russia´s role as a mediator.After Pashinyan´s visit to Russia in a near future,everything will clear-Armenia signs peace agreement with the mediation of Russia or not.
İnterestingly,Alen Simonzan announced that the signing of peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia is possible in two weeks.We know that the contacts between Baku and Yerevan are going on through diplomatic channels and many important details on peace agreement have been agreed.But we are not informed with details.
Furthermore,there is another alternative and the negotiation process can be kept on In Georgia.Even it is not impossible that the final peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan can be signed in Tbilisi.We do not know that to what extend is Armenia ready to this alternative.But the main obstacle in this issue that Georgia can not be guarantee for lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.Otherwise,Baku and Yerevan can sign peace agreement on the state border between two countries.
I comprehend that Russia wants that the peace agreement be signed in its territory and under its control.That is why,Pashinyan´s visit to Moscow is important enough and some vital components will be clear after this event…
