Anar Rasul: From Escalation to the War between: USA-Israel and Iran

During the end of February, the World focus on new escalation possibility between Iran and USA. This possibilitybecame the world’s agenda as a number one issue between. From it is known context, it is thought of as some other confrontations; however, mutual threats were the most for the last month. Military confrontation has been started on 27thFebruary and Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were killed on February 28. This was no longer escalation; it is accepted as a war by the World Community, even if it is named by these countries as well.

The war between USA-Israel and Iran continue, and it brings several controversies with itself according to occurrences. Mutual accusations between these sides show tense of relations. Isreal and USA mention its concern and take actionagainst Nuclear Program of Iran. Whereas Iran sees Israel as a regional threat.

Firstly, it is predicted that it will be the same as the other escalation and confrontations, but today the scenery isdifferent. One week has already been completed in this war, and war is growing around Middle East countries. Last 4 days Iran targeted American military bases in Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and etc. It deepens war and it has a distinctive feature as a message to the world that they are ready to fight everywhere. According to the report from Reuters on March 5, Israel’s war in Iran is entering a second phase that will see its fighter jets attacking ballistic missile sites buried deep underground. It helps to say that the war will continue andmove to the next stage.

Before the war, leaders emphasized their priority against each other. It was about the direct and exact torrent of actions during the next few days. Meanwhile, the death of Supreme Leader of Iran demonstrates this mindset obviously regardingtheir current implementations.

On the other hand, the world’s main focus consists of economics complications which have been realized in Strait of Hormuz. The report from BBC reveals that usually, about 20% of global oil and gas passes through the narrow shipping lane in the Gulf. But Iran’s General Sardar Jabbari said that Tehran will now “not let a single drop of oil leave the region”.This move tenses existing situation that is not coincidence for Iran.

In terms of aggressive position of Iran international community is worried about possible next stage of this war. Especially, states in the region note their concerns and attitudes. Gulf countries are at the top of the list because of their geographical positions and economics interests. Western countries condemn the process and call the war sides to the preserving peace, however, one of the different approach was seen by China. China’s foreign minister called for an “immediate cessation” of the US and Israeli action in a phone call with his Israeli counterpart, the ministry said and Türkiye mentioned they are ready to mediation.

So, real progress is about mutual accusations and attacks for one week. It is a regional war because of direct attack by Israel-USA and Iran, even Iran tries to strike US military bases. At the same time, diplomatic negotiations are also in trouble. There is a critical and undeniable mutual claim for the suspension of diplomatic relations. In the meantime, Iran relates it with unacceptable aggression of United States which is called by Iran. It is also because of strikes of important places of Iran, such as capital Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Qom and etc. So, this figure below shows the cities targeted.

In conclusion, The US itself is not keen on restoring relations with Iran Islamic Republic as well until carry its some strategic plans. Parties aim to strengthen their considered positions and try to establish a dominance against each other.Mostly mentioned point arises about nuclear program of Iran. As it is known, Iran insists to Uranium Enrichment with ignoring USA. Undoubtedly, according to the research by Cristina Varriale, it could be revealed that nuclear diplomacy perception is much more important than diplomatic attempts in nuclear programs.
